Some ways you can use te reo around our whare, answer the phone in Māori, greet our friends in Māori, teach our whānau members a waiata and waiata whereever we can... place Māori names on various things around the whare, practice our reo by watching "Tōku Reo" on Māori television and from things we have learned in the classroom...

Te Wahanga Tuatoru

Term 3 is here, and we cheer and cheer!
Lots of things are happening this term...one of them is Te Huinga Whetu Kapahaka competition on the 26th of September, watch this space!
This term for our Unit Topic we are completing: An Inquiry into How the World Works- he Ao haere pai, me aha matou.
Curriculum focus: Living World- recognising common life processes that all living things need, and explain how these take place in different ways.
Our key idea: We can use scientific processes to better understand how stream animals live ( in kidspeak this means- looking at what we know about stream life, how can we make it bigger)
Using the SAUCE model, we will conduct our investigations and see where it takes us.
We will upload some of our brainstorming and questioning soon, WATCH this space..
