Touch the Sea Aquarium, Mapua

Touch the Sea Aquarium has been especially created
to allow the closest possible experience of a fascinating range
of New Zealand sea and shoreline life.

We visited out at Mapua today and had a blast!
Richard was the Education person who spoke to us about the "Touch the Sea" experience. We looked atPredators, the food chain and we even got to feed the fish and watch a wheke (octopus) eat a crab that was place in to its tank!
We thought it was pretty cool stroking the little sharks, the eels and the fish in the touch pools.
Thanks WhaeaJo for organising it, to all of our Parents who came with us, Whaea Janis, Whaea Karen, Whaea Kirsten, Whaea Vron, Matua David, Whaea Leanne, Whaea Martina,Whaea Christine, Whaea Jo, Whaea Carly, Whaea Donna and of course Whaea Trina.

Nā David, Karama, Neihana, George and Kawhia
