These are our poems that we were inspired to write after we listened to Human rights poems from children in the ePal website.
We have the right to be free.
We can all think, feel, act and dream freely.
We don't look alike.
Why does it matter?
Everybody, every single person is born with the same rights.
Na Analijia
We have the right to be free.
We have a right to climb every tree!
Everybody has a voice to make their own choice.
People should jump with glee.
yelling together WE ARE FREE!!
Na Tāne
We have the right to be free
free from slavery
We are able to make our marks on the World
New Zealand is our haven.
Our life, our breath, our contact with Mother Earth.
Live, love, die.
We have the right to be strong, to be interesting, to be wonderful.
We have the right to independence, and to be leaders.
I have the right to be me!
Nā Karama
We have the right to an education
We have the right to Love, to be safe, and to be happy.
we have the right to have fun, to be treated fairly.
We have the right to food and water, a good home, sleep and our life.
We have the right to privacy, to be alive, to have an identity.
We have the right to be free!
Na Rosa
We have the right to be different
if people don't appreciate how othe rpeople look then that is sad.
Some people say I look funny because of my nose!
I ignore people who are bullies, because I think I am great!
No wait, I know I am great!!
Na Kawhia
We have the right to live, love and die.
They might take everything from us but we still have hope to get us through.
Hope to live through sorrow and poverty.
We still have love, it makes our dreams sweet at night.
We have a right as a new generation to stand with our heads held high.
We will stand together, we have the right to be what we are!
Na Anne
We have the right to be free, and have freedom for all.
People have the right to show that they may be different on the outside, but the same on the inside.
We have the right to be treated fairly, don't judge me by what you see, judge me by what you know.
I have the right to be me!
Na Heidi
